This page is designed to give information and to act as a forum for the general public as well as rabies experts. People are able to post there:

Along with the updating process, downloadable files corresponding to every page of the section will be made available.
We need designed focal points who will be the correspondents for rabies data in their countries. These focal points are intended to report on a quarterly basis human and animal rabies cases in the area, at a regional (preferably) or national level in their country.
Collected data should include laboratory confirmed cases, both positive and negative, for people, dogs, other domestic animals, bats and other wildlife, suspicions for human rabies and dog bites reports.

Between 27 and 31 July 2009, a training session on rabies diagnosis has been organised in Onderstepoort Veterinary Institute, South Africa. 16 delegates attended the session.
This new section will provide information about rabies: virus, epidemiology, diagnosis, prevention and control measures.
The French version of the SEARG website is regularly updated from the original English version.
